This experimental documentary recounts the establishment and ultimate dissolution of a polyamorous marriage between four Long Island Jews in the late 1960s. Interviews with two surviving spouses--who no longer speak to each other--are presented in split-screen and gradually braid their sometimes conflicting accounts into a narrative of the decade that defined their lives.

I edited the HD interview footage, conceiving and realizing the split-screen device as a narrative tool. In addition, I designed the title sequence.

"Earth 2100"
2009

Client: ABC News
Production House: Guerilla FX
Role: Animation

This ABC News Special foretells a possible future of environmental disaster and dwindling resources based on the predictions of leading scientists and historians. Guerilla FX produced over 30 minutes of "motion-comics" style animation featuring illustrations by NYC comix artists George O'Connor, Tim Hamilton, and Joe Infurnari.

I animated multiple shots of the bleak, abandoned dustbowl that America is fated to become because you didn't separate your paper and plastics.

"Late Night With Jimmy Fallon"
2009

Client: NBC Universal
Production House: Guerilla FX
Role: VFX

I worked around the clock to meet the overnight deadline for Jimmy Fallon's first night as host of "Late Night." The opening sequence features Jimmy sprinting through the streets of Manhattan with swirling light effects and taxi headlamps that pierce the night like glowing lightsabers.

"Yizkor"
2009

Client: Fertigová Films
Role: VFX/Design/Animation

This film blends Super 8 home movies, archival footage, and classic animation to retell the story of profound loss found in the Holocaust memoir of the filmmaker's grandmother.

I created animated transitions marrying Super 8 footage to watercolor sketches of the scenes. I also designed a handful of animated sequences of Nazi documents falling into view while having their words translate to English. Finally, I created a title sequence in which the title is integrated into an old home movie.
